Cricket betting markets
Cricket is Bangladesh's passion — and 2bd9 gives you the chance to act on that passion across a range of betting markets. Whether it is BPL, IPL or the T20 World Cup, you can place many types of bets on every match.
| Market type | Example |
|---|---|
| Match Winner | Bangladesh vs India — who will win? |
| Toss Winner | Who will win the toss before the match starts |
| Top Batsman | Who will score the most runs for a team |
| Total Runs Over/Under | Will total runs in the match exceed 150? |
| Runs in Over | How many runs will be scored in a specific over |
| Method of Dismissal | Will the next wicket fall bowled, caught or LBW? |
| Player of the Match | Who will be named the best player at the end of the match |
In live in-play betting, odds change with every wicket or over. When a wicket falls, the defending team's odds may shorten, while a big over can lengthen the batting team's odds.
Betting Exchange — Back & Lay bets
In a standard sportsbook you only bet against the platform. In a betting exchange you bet against other players — and they set the odds. This often means you can find better odds than the market rate.
A Back bet means you think a certain outcome will happen — for example, Bangladesh will win. A Lay bet means you think that outcome will not happen — in other words, you are acting as the "casino" and betting against someone else.
| Feature | Back bet | Lay bet |
|---|---|---|
| Your position | In favour of the outcome | Against the outcome |
| Winning condition | If the selected outcome occurs | If the selected outcome does not occur |
| Risk | Risk of losing the staked amount | Liability can be higher |
| Example (৳) | Back with ৳500 → profit if it wins | Lay ৳500 → profit if the outcome does not happen |
Example: if the Back odds for Bangladesh winning a match are 2.0, backing ৳1,000 gives a profit of ৳1,000 if they win (total return ৳2,000). The odds come from other users — the platform only takes a small commission.
